Bring the community together through charity and donations
Hong Kong Association of Washington Foundation (HKAWF), a 501(c)3 organization registered with the state of Washington, was founded in 2009 in support of the philanthropic work of the Hong Kong Association of Washington. The foundation engages in events that support the advancement of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the fields of Education, Health, Science, Athletic, and Human Services.
Signature Gala
The Hong Kong Association of Washington Foundation created the Lunar New Year Gala since 2008 to showcase the organization’s effort to make a difference for people in our community.
Over the past nine years, proceeds from this event have benefited Seattle Children’s, Center for Children & Youth Justice (CCYJ), Bruce Lee Action Museum, Washington Initiative for Supported Employment, Seattle Chinese Garden, Seattle Symphony, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation,Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA), and now the Bellevue LifeSpring.The Hong Kong Greater China Business Association of Washington created the Lunar New Year Gala in 2008 to showcase the organization’s effort to make a difference for people in our community. I just wanted to thank you all so much for lending a hand at the ACRS Food Bank on Wednesday last week for Chinese New Year. Our food bank team was so appreciative of your help and it made such a difference for elders experiencing hunger in our community. Thank you for getting up early, purchasing and getting all the roast chickens and taking time from your busy schedules to lend a hand.
